    Pablo Ruiz Picasso born Malaga Spain1881- 1973. Unequaled in both quantity and quality, the paintings, sculptures, etchings and ceramics of Picasso reveal the hand of aperson who perhaps deserves to be called a genius.

    His work encompassed the whole range of twentieth century art. His ingenuity and skillin the handling of form have endlessly hauntedthe imagination of artists, spanning whole generations from Surrealists to Abstract Expressionists to Pop art.


     Until his death in 1973 he remained remarkably prolific and his versatility was unique. The effects of his work still reverberate today and he is without question the most significant and influential artist of the last century.
